I had a fabulous time at Magnuson Hotel Marina Cove! The room was clean and comfortable enough, even if it wasn't fancy, and the grounds were incredibly well-kept, adding to the tropical vibe. The staff was super friendly and helpful, which really made my stay enjoyable. However, I did notice some areas that could use updates, especially in the dining options, although the food served at the onsite deli was quite good. Overall, it was a solid choice for a budget-friendly stay with easy access to local attractions.

The room was older but clean enough for my needs, with newer amenities like a flat-screen TV. It was a basic setup, which was fine since I wasn't spending much time there.
Service

The staff went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. They were always friendly, and I even had a great conversation with the bartender, Bryan.

The hotel is conveniently located for exploring the area, with beautiful views of the marina and nearby attractions within easy reach.

I enjoyed the food at the onsite deli, especially the sandwiches and wings at the pool bar, even though the dining experience could have been more varied.

The pool area was enjoyable and well-maintained, plus I appreciated the family-friendly amenities like the playground.

I had a great time at Magnuson Hotel Marina Cove! The staff were super friendly and made my stay enjoyable, but I did find my room to be smaller and a bit outdated. The pool areas were a highlight for relaxation, but the dining experience was a bit slow. Overall, it was a solid stay with lovely views and good amenities, though some areas could use a refresh.

Rooms
8.0
My room was upstairs with a decent view, but it was quite small at 15 feet by 16 feet, and felt outdated. I appreciated the kitchenette for saving on food costs, but it could use some updates.
Service
10.0
The staff really stood out! They were kind, accommodating, and exceptionally helpful, especially Joel from guest services who went above and beyond.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions, plus it's only 10 minutes from the beaches. I did notice some seaweed along the beach though, which wasn't appealing.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs. It took a long time for my food to come out, and while the options were okay, I expected it to be faster than it was.
Facilities
7.0
I enjoyed the pool areas and lush landscaping, which made for a great hangout spot, but the dining delay was a letdown. The tiki bar was fun but could use more drink options.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. The hotel has really nice grounds and it's conveniently located near local attractions like Fort DeSoto Beach. However, my room was pretty run down and didn't match the level of comfort I expected for the price I paid. There were issues like an unstable toilet and some ants, which detracted from my overall experience.

Rooms
5.0
My room felt grubby and in need of updates. The furniture was old, and the toilet didn’t work properly—I even had to fix it myself. It didn’t provide the comfort I hoped for.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable despite the issues with my room. They really went out of their way to assist, which I appreciated.
Location
6.0
The hotel is off the beaten path but close to shopping and easy access to the highway. It’s a quick drive to downtown St. Pete, which I liked.
Dining
6.0
I found the onsite restaurant a bit pricey for the quality of food. Although there were nearby dining options, my experience at the hotel restaurant was only average.
Facilities
7.0
The pool areas were nice, offering a great space to relax. I also enjoyed the beach bar, but the hours were a bit limited.

My stay at the Magnuson Hotel Marina Cove was a mixed bag. The pools were nice and well-maintained, which I really enjoyed, but my room definitely had its issues. It felt outdated, and I had unwanted visitors in the form of ants. The restaurant experience was a bit disappointing as well, with limited late-night options. Overall, it was decent for the price I paid, but I'm hoping they can work on those room upgrades.

Rooms

The room was outdated with a stuck door and some ants making their presence known. It definitely needs a refresh.
Service
6.0
The staff were super friendly and really helpful, but the restaurant closing early was a letdown after a long travel day.
Location
5.0
The hotel is in a decent location, but there aren't many restaurants or things to do nearby, which can be limiting.
Dining

I had a so-so experience with the food. The late-night menu was really just appetizers, and they didn't leave a great impression on me.
Facilities
6.0
The pools were probably my favorite part, plus they had a little beach bar that was nice. Just wish the rooms matched the vibe!

I had a mixed experience at Magnuson Hotel Marina Cove. The location is awesome, right by the Gulf with beautiful views and fun amenities like the tiki bar. However, I faced a few issues, including a musty smell in my room and some cleanliness concerns. Overall, it’s a decent stay for the price, but it could use some improvements to elevate it beyond mediocre.

Rooms
5.0
My room had a smell like mildew, and even after notifying the front desk, I had to use air fresheners to mask it. While the room was mostly clean, the overall condition felt a bit dated.
Service
6.0
Some staff were really friendly and helpful, but there were a few with poor attitudes. It felt hit or miss depending on whom I interacted with.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic, with amazing water views and easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and the beach.
Dining
6.0
The food options were decent, particularly liked the outdoor tiki bar, but some meals were just okay in terms of quality.
Facilities
7.0
The grounds and pool areas were nice and well-maintained, with plenty of opportunities for relaxation. The amenities could be better though.
